Below is a partial list of the woods I use to make pens and other objects. Some of the woods such as maple, the oaks, poplar, walnut, and cedar are domestic woods from the East coast. The other woods used are from Central and South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. If you would like more information about the different woods that I use please visit http://www.wood-database.com/

The Wood Database is a book about the different types of woods from all over the world. It is a fantastic book written by Eric Meier for those interested in the different types of woods used to create and build. If you would like to know more about Eric's project you can find it at http://www.wood-database.com/about/

Eric's book is available at amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_13?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=wood+database&sprefix=wood+database%2Caps%2C201
